DESCRIPTION:
EPW - C Marcks & Co, Bombay & Poona, double-dial two time zone watch, 49mm, 18K yellow gold OF original case, SW with independent pin-setting for either side, front dial in silver with applied multicolor gold decoration, WED with red 24-hour indications in rear, lever escapement, 15J, gilt mvt, wolf's tooth winding, without visible number. The rear dial lifts off with its motion work to expose the mvt, a simple and elegant solution with frictionless carry. There is also an aperture to the edge of the rear dial for regulator adjustment, with scale engraved on the band. The company name and attributes of the watch are also engraved on bezel and band respectively. Gross weight of assembled watch 62.8 dwt (97.7 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: GRO, near mint mvt condition overall; front dial mint, rear dial perfect; mint hands on both sides; case shows hardly any wear, few MFS, no dents or dings, crisp engraving detail; bow tight, crown shows little wear; good glass crystals.
